The unit below, contains five distinct

lessons through which students are

exposed to basic vocabulary and enriching activities that can strengthen their English language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. The unit also offers a creative and engaging project that students can ultimately take home.  In addition, there are numerous extra worksheets (word searches, puzzles, riddles, mazes, etc.) which may be utilized for either weaker or stronger students as needed.  These additional resources could also be used as items to engage students who complete other activities quickly.

While many of the activities in the unit were created for this program, a number of activities were found on various internet sites which can easily be accessed by the user for further inspiration.  Individuals are invited to use any part of these units as desired with the expectation that they may also adjust activities or ignore them as best fits their teaching needs.
