    Inside your time in the Classroom

    As an English teacher in our unique program, you will be responsible for delivering lively classes and preparing students for future exams. In addition to the support you will receive for curriculum building and classroom skills, you will be partnered with the lead English teacher in your school who will help integrate you into the role.

    Outside your time in the Classroom

    In addition to teaching, you will also volunteer five hours/week in either a community based setting or professional based. You get to choose! You can choose from organizations that our fellows have volunteered at in the past or make your own path and find the project that speaks to your passion.

    You will also have the opportunity to experience the best of what Israel has to offer – In addition to the warmer weather – you will get to celebrate Purim and Pesach, as well as commemorating the National Holidays together.     Where You Will Teach

    Ramle/Lod

    Work in the city of Ramle, located just outside of Tel Aviv! Ramle is home to a richly diverse population of Jewish- and Arab-Israelis. As a result of its strategic location, Ramle is an important historical town with landmarks such as the White Tower and the Pool of Arches. Use your local pool pass to relax in the sun and get access to Arabic language courses during your 6 months in Israel!

    Teach for a Semester: Powered by Masa Israel Teaching Fellows

    Teach for a Semester is a partnership of Masa Israel Journey, Israel’s Ministry of Education, and The Jewish Agency for Israel.

    Created to bridge the gaps in Israel’s public education system, the program invites talented, English-speaking college graduates to teach English in Israel as teachers’ aides. It’s a challenging, rewarding experience for our Teaching Fellows and a vital investment in Israel’s future.
