You’re in Israel, and you’ve noticed that your favorite go-to t-shirt has a hole in it… and it’s visible… so it’s time to get a new one! But you might be wondering if you’re new in Israel, where to go… So, as a Masa alumna and Olah Chadashah myself, who believes in updating your wardrobe once in a while, I would like to share my recommendations about where to do your essential clothing shopping and “spoil yourself” shopping in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the surrounding areas. I also understand that shopping here isn’t the cheapest. However, you can still find decent deals whether it’s in the store or online.
Where to Shop in Israel?
Overall, when shopping in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Eilat, and the surrounding areas, you will find the well-known big brands, such as Zara, H&M, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, American Eagle, Foot Locker, Billabong, etc. Israel also has its fashion brands, including Castro, Hoodies, Golf & Co., and Fox. I have found that Castro and Hoodies carry great basic t-shirts. Fox also has a store called Fox Home, similar to Zara Home and H&M Home, where you can buy accessories for your apartments/dorms.
Many of these stores are also part of the Dream Card franchise, which means that if you sign up for the card, you will be able to collect points with each purchase and use them for your next shopping adventure. Being part of the Dream Card also grants you certain sales, and during your birthday month, you also get extra discounts!
Here’s a list of malls and stores around Israel, where you will definitely find what you’re looking for.

Boutique Shopping Options in Tel Aviv:
While malls are great, especially in the summer if you’re looking to cool off from the heat, you also have options to shop from more boutique-esque stores. Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff street is full of smaller stores that carry not-your-everyday brands. These stores are Story, Yanga, Shoofra shoes, Blueberry, etc. Neve Tzedek’s Shabazi street also has beautiful shops. However, they are much more pricey.
Jewelry Shopping in Tel Aviv
If you’re looking for jewelry, head to Nachalat Binyamin in Tel Aviv, where the Art Fair takes place every Tuesday and Friday. Here local designers and artists sell affordable jewelry and perfect gift options for your loved ones. Not far from the Art Fair, on Shenkin street, there are more options for boutique stores and jewelry shopping.
Online Shopping in Israel
If you prefer online retail therapy, you can order from any of the stores above online and opt for home delivery. ASOS also delivers to Israel, but if you spend over $70, you will be charged additional taxes that you must pay online before receiving your package. The currency always fluctuates, so keep an eye out for how much $70 is worth at the time of your purchase.
Israel’s Terminal X also has great deals and very quick shipping.
A recap of where to shop in Israel
In general, you will be able to find almost anything and everything that you’re looking for. While it might sometimes be more expensive to do your shopping here than anywhere else, I have learned that if I have decided to live or relocate here, then I must do my shopping here because that’s a part of living it like a local.
