Definitely a great program for non-religious people to get a good introduction to life and the people of Israel. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to study or volunteer abroad.

My program gave me a perspective on Israel that I never had before (and haven't had to same extent since). Volunteer Opportunities in Israel

Masa Volunteers is designed to offer diverse ways to make a meaningful impact. Here are some of the key areas where you can contribute:

  • Mentorship and Tutoring: Spend three days a week mentoring children in the Gush Dan region, helping them with their education, offering emotional support, and giving them a sense of stability and hope in uncertain times. You’ll also have the chance to work with children and families who have been directly affected by the war.
  • Emergency Medical Response: Partner with Magen David Adom to gain hands-on experience as a first responder. After completing an eight-day course, you’ll be ready to join local ambulance teams, assisting paramedics in responding to medical emergencies. Volunteers typically complete four shifts per week, each about 8 hours long.
  • Humanitarian Aid & Rehabilitation: Get involved in food packaging, agricultural work, and rehabilitation efforts in southern and northern Israel. You’ll be working directly with displaced families, helping to rebuild their communities and offering much-needed support during difficult times.
  • Advocacy & Hasbara: Assist with public diplomacy efforts, helping to share Israel’s story with the world through advocacy, digital campaigns, and storytelling. You’ll contribute to Israel’s global image by building awareness and educating others about the country’s challenges and resilience.
  • Leadership Development: Throughout the program, you’ll take part in leadership seminars, where you’ll develop essential skills that can be applied both during your volunteer work and beyond. A special day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will offer a unique look at Israel’s international outreach efforts.
