Torani is intended for young adults wishing to devote a year to serious Torah study in Israel, whilst enjoying being part of the Bnei Akiva framework. The majority of the year is spent in yeshiva or midrasha, with Bnei Akiva running seminars, Shabbatonim and an advanced leadership course to allow participants to maximise their year, experience the length and breadth of Israel and return equipped with the tools to be a leader in Bnei Akiva UK. Applicants can choose between Yeshivat Hakotel and Yeshivat Eretz Hatzvi (boys) and Midreshet Harova and Midreshet Amit (girls). The city where past and present meet. Established over 3,000 years ago, the city of Jerusalem offers you the chance to literally reach out and touch the past. Known as the city of gold, Jerusalem is a magical mix of ancient and modern, where outdoor shuks (markets) rub shoulders with gleaming office towers. The city's most popular spots include a vibrant downtown with world-class restaurants and shopping, and the Old City, a maze of winding alleyways and colorful markets enclosed by walls dating back to the 16th century.
On MTA, you’ll have a year of learning Torah and other Jewish studies in some of the best institutions that Israel has to offer. During the times when you are not at Yeshiva or Midrasha, we’ll provide a full schedule of activities letting you really live and feel the pulse of the Land of Israel. Various volunteer options, together with seminars about current Jewish and Israeli issues, will complement the educational goals of MTA.
