Our Leadership Approach

Alice Lévy is a French immigrant to Israel. She graduated from Sciences Po Lyon with a major in Development and Management of Not-For-Profit Organisation. She has been involved in the not-for-profit sector her whole life as a volunteer or staff. She collectively managed a French NGO that aims to empower citizen to tackle environmental and societal issues. She worked for several years for not-for-profits that deals with social exclusion and violence against women. She has been in Israel since January 2015 and is a Masa and Leadership Alumni. She currently works in high-tech where she trains organizations around the world to tackle new challenges.

Having worked as a clinical Social Worker in the UK and Director of Programs in the Masa Leadership Center, Ben is today a leadership development trainer and organisational consultant.  He holds an MA from the Tavistock Centre in London and an MA in Social Work and has trained in Systemic Family Therapy.  Ben teaches leadership to enable people to be pro-active in creating positive change in their own lives and the lives of their communities and workplaces.  He lives in Tel Aviv.

Jennifer was born and raised in Maryland, USA. Her curiosity and love of cultures have led her to live, work, and/ or study in the US, Thailand, India, England and Israel. In 2015, Jennifer moved to Israel as a recipient of the Dorot Fellowship for young American Jewish leadership. Following Dorot, Jennifer made Aliyah and launched the Adaptive Leadership Lab Fellowship as part of the Jewish Agency for Israel. In 2019, she completed her masters degree in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics & Political Science where she focused on the intersection of innovation and organizational growth. She is currently based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Leah is a lifelong learner and a firm believer in the power of mindfulness and compassion. Leah earned her law degree in Canada and trained as a foreign clerk at Israel’s Supreme Court before practicing law with one of Israel’s leading law practices. A passion for social change led Leah to pivot to the nonprofit sector and for the past 17 years she has headed the development activities of various Israeli organizations. In 2017 Leah’s professional work earned her the distinction of becoming a Schusterman Fellow. Leah’s rich experience in organizational settings and the practices that comprise organizational culture helped inspire her decade-long, robust practice in mindfulness. Leah draws on research from behavioral neuroscience, training from distinguished coaching institutes in the United States, and her deeply engaged mind and heart to assist leaders and organizations in meaningfully enhancing their wellbeing and performance.

Lev is an expert and trainer in the field of social and educational innovations. Today, he leads entrepreneurship educational programs in Israeli schools and is an advisor for Hakhel, an international incubator for Jewish Intentional communities all over the world. In his professional and personal paths Lev focuses on three main themes: community, leadership, and innovation. Both leadership and innovation lead to the creation of a better future and the most effective way of doing that is through collaboration and community.  He strongly believes that success and wellness come when you practice with others what you truly believe in.

Mariana is from São Paulo, Brazil. She spent six years in the Catholic University, São Paulo, where she became bachelor in pedagogy and master in education. At the same time she had different experiences in her field, as a teacher trainer in Mozambique, Africa, and as a principal in a democratic school in an at-risk neighborhood in São Paulo. She specializes in critical thinking education. She spent the last four years in Tel Aviv where she was the Head of Nurseries Program and Community Development in the organization Unitaf, which provides education for refugee children in south Tel Aviv. Mariana is a graduate of Masa and the Masa Leadership Center. Since 2016 she is an associate trainer in the Masa Leadership Center faculty.  Currently Mariana is the founder and director of “For Everyone English Classes” a non-profit organization that provides online English classes for underprivileged Brazilian youth as a way to open up more career opportunities.

Michal is the founder of The Balcony Leadership Studio that supports leadership development process in social and civic organizations and communities. Michal is a member of the Masa Leadership Center’s Global Faculty and a Kansas Leadership Center alum. She was the director of international programs of community and leadership development and social activism in Europe and Israel as part of her work at the Global Leadership Institute of the Jewish Agency. Beforehand, she was the Maccabi World Union Central Emissary in Europe. Michal holds a master’s in Jewish Education and a B.A. in Sociology-Anthropology, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a co-founder of a cooperative pub in Jerusalem.

Ronit is the Executive Director of “Israelis against racism,” a nation-wide endeavor to promote zero tolerance to all forms of racism in Israel. Previously, Ronit served as the Executive Director of Shatil: Leading Social Change, an Initiative of the New Israel Fund. Ronit is an Adaptive Leadership teacher who facilitated workshops with the Wexner Foundation, the Masa Leadership Center, and Non-profits in Israel. Ronit is a social psychologist and an organizational consultant by training, and holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. She is a devout Jerusalemite and a writer of a series of children’s stories “Manyera the Witch”.

Tome Nahmias- Calic is an organizational consultant and a group facilitator. She has a very large experience at working with English speaking groups from all over the world after leading many groups in different programs such as: “The Israel Experience”, Onward Israel (as part of her work in “Bina”- the Jewish movement for social change) and throughout her army service as a “Sar-El” guide (leading groups of volunteers from all around the world who come to volunteer in the IDF bases). During the last year Tome has been working with Masa, leading groups as part of the MPH program for career development. Tome is also a teacher at Tel- Aviv University’s Group Facilitation program and at the Open University’s Organizational Consultation program.

Yotam is currently an Alumni Community manager for IASA – Israel Arts and Science Academy and teaches philosophy in pre-army academies of leadership. He previously worked as the head of the English Machon youth leadership program of the Jewish Agency and as educational tour guide and group facilitator for several non-profit organizations. He holds a B.sc in mathematics and psychology and an M.A in philosophy. A little (but worth knowing) secret is that Yotam is a skilled Mandolin player.
