Job Description

SparkIL is a newly launched peer-to-peer technology platform seeking to gain traction in communities in the United States. We are seeking an intern who will reach out to various organizations and institutions in targeted communities in to expose them to SparkIL. The goal will be to present SparkIL, entice a community to promote the platform, and ultimately attract lenders from the community to support borrowers on the site.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
– researching organizations
– cold calling and emailing key decision makers
– preparing presentations
– brainstorming offerings for communities based on their needs
– steward relationships once onboarded
– drafting communications to partners

– Strong written and oral communication skills

– Familiar with the organized Jewish community in the US

– Hebrew a plus

Company Description

SparkIL is a tech startup building a peer-to-peer platform where lenders can support small businesses in Israel. We are connecting Jews around the world to Israel while advancing their social causes. Using an innovative technology platform we engage lenders in venture philanthropy, a spin on social impact investing. All the while the lenders are supporting small and micro businesses on the social, economic, and geographic periphery of Israel. SparkIL launched in June 2022 and is scaling up quickly. Our team is working to build pipelines for the borrowers, lenders, and funders. Interns will be hands on in growing SparkIL and have an opportunity to work in all facets of the business.
