Established in 1998, NATAL – the Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center, is an apolitical organization providing multidisciplinary treatment and support to direct and indirect victims of trauma due to terror and war in Israel. Founded by Jude Yovel Recanati, together with the late Dr. Yossi Hadar z”l, NATAL‘s mission is to lead the way in the field of trauma and to advance the resiliency of Israeli society through treatment, prevention, public awareness, and research. Our services are available across the country and to all Israeli citizens regardless of religion, ethnic background, color, age, gender or socioeconomic status. To date, NATAL’s services have touched the lives of over 350,000 men, women, and children.

ADVAH Therapy and Wellness
Description
Advah Therapy & Wellness, a shared clinic space in Tel Aviv, is looking for an intern to aid in community building and related event planning. The ideal intern would be a driven and independent worker with an interest in topics in psychology and wellness advocacy to complement.
– To complete follow up phone calls with potential clients (requires ethical practices in client intake protocols).
– Create content for psychology in the city newsletter: ask a therapist letter/ conduct interviews, write short topical articles, relevant news under the lens of psychology (both worldly and community based), updates on social events, take part in community events, aid practitioners with groups if relevant.
– Assist in creating content for social media based on psycho-educational resources with the social media team.
EXTRA: If desired, the psychotherapists / co-founders are happy to offer support in pursuing self-guided psychology/counseling related research efforts (ie, for graduate applications). This option is only valid if the intern is able to balance the required tasks of the position.
Qualifications
– Undergraduate studies and or equivalent in majors related to the field of Psychology.
– Able to demonstrate relevant work experience.
– Any experience working with clients in the field of mental health would be desirable but not essential.
– To be able to demonstrate a passion for mental health and wellness advocacy.
– Organisational skills and ability to work independently and as a team with other interns.
– Ideal applicants will have proficiency in English.
– As our community is international, it would be desirable to speak any additional languages.
– Excellent verbal communication skills.
– Excellent writing skills.
– Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
ADVAH Therapy & Wellness encourages collaboration and multi-disciplinary working within private practice, moving towards increased quality care and effective clinical practices. We provide a physical space as well as our extended community of support, through the therapist social club, for private mental health and wellness practitioners within the international community of Tel Aviv and surrounding areas. We are committed to developing, getting to know and making accessible wider network resources to compliment and aid professionals in their services towards their clientele. This not only includes assistance towards setting up and maintaining private practice, but also opportunities for professional development and networking through support, learning, and community events.
ADVAH was developed by local therapists seeking personal growth and noting what was missing professionally in their experience of private practice, and in serving the needs of the community.
