Asking “How is it going?” is not enough.

An immersive, impactful, transformative journey requires a proper processing methodology to make meaning out of investing a significant period of time in Israel.

My Israel Journey is a structured program which allows each Fellow to ask accurate questions and to gain clarity over their own development during their Masa experience.

The methodology includes an approach towards facilitation which allows the Fellows to articulate the burning questions they want to deal with and to collect the deepest wisdom the group can offer.

Partners who are interested in bringing MIJ to their audiences are welcome to reach out to Avy Leghziel, Executive director of the Educational Design Unit.

What does MIJ, our processing and reflection methodology include?

  • The Hero’s Journey: Goal setting, defining challenges and outcomes and preparing for the return
  • Conflict and Challenge as a framework for personal development
  • Spark questions: learning to ask the right question
  • Hosting vs Facilitating: a new approach for working with groups
