“Tel Aviv has the best happy hour deals” were wise and deep words once shared by a good friend of mine. As someone, whose lived in Tel Aviv for the past seven years, I feel confident enough to say that it’s hard for me to disagree.
In America, happy hour deals start as early as 14:00-15:00 and last until 17:00-18:00, maximum. Most people cannot enjoy the pleasures of cheaper alcohol at that hour due to the reality of work… In Europe, for example, happy hour is barely existent, if at all. So, while Tel Aviv might be one of the most expensive cities in the world, it has the best happy hour deals for sure.
For this reason, I have compiled a list of some of the best happy hours in Tel Aviv that you can enjoy with your friends and loved ones after a long day of work.
Best Happy Hours in Tel Aviv
Chateau Shual – Malkhi Yisrael St 19, Tel Aviv-Yafo
Let’s start this list with Chateau Shual, located right next to Kikar Rabin. Chateau Shual is a wine bar with an excellent happy hour, yummy foods, and great wine.
The happy hour as of 2022 is 50% off on alcohol, except for wine bottles. Plus, there is a 1+1 deal on all foods that have the happy hour sticker placed next to them on the menu. This Tel Aviv happy hour begins Sunday-Thursday from 18:00 to 19:30. Even better, they have the same happy hour deal from 12:00-15:30 on Fridays! 🍷
For a cozy and relaxed experience head over to Foster on Shlomo HaMelech. It’s a great neighborhood bar with nothing pretentious about it. During the week, happy hour is from 18:00-20:30 and on Friday’s it’s from 20:00-22:30, with the drinks half off. That’s pretty happy to me. 🙂
A La Bar is also a great option in the area for great food and cocktails. They call themselves “La Shuk’s next-door neighbor (which they also technically are). Their entire menu is 25% off, including food, drinks, and cocktails starting from 18:00-19:30.
Mozambique Bar on Nachalat Binyamin is a perfect spot for really delicious cocktails and great food, courtesy of Bicicletta next door. They also have great music during the week with different dj’s. Happy hour is between 18:00-20:00 with 30% off of everything. Definitely worth a visit!
If you’re in the Florentin area, then I have three places for you with great happy hours.
- Ouzeria: From 18:00-19:30 they have 20% off their whole menu. The food is Mediterranean-inspired with fresh, flavorful dishes, and they also make delicious cocktails.
- Christoff Wine Salon: Excellent wine selection with delicious pairings of food, including charcuterie boards, bread, freshly prepared vegetable side dishes and Florentin vibes. During the week it’s 20% off of everything from 18:00-19:30, and on Friday’s from 18:30-19:30.
- Bitter Bar: Doesn’t get much more Florentin than this bar. It’s hip and cool, with a great selection of wine and other drinks. Their food menu isn’t very large but what they do have is delicious. The happy hour is between 18:00-20:00.
The Top Wine Bars for Happy Hour in Tel Aviv
Lastly, I am going to finish off this list with two great wine bars. One is located in the North of Tel Aviv on Kikar Milano called Juno. It’s perfect for date nights or a night out with friend/s. Juno’s happy hour is every Sunday-Thursday from 6-7:30 pm, and 20% is reduced on wines and cocktails. Another great option for wine is Gazzetta bar, which is on Habima square. The happy hour is now from 17:00-19:00 and 30% off of everything, inlcuding wine and food.
Ready for Happy Hour in Tel Aviv?
In conclusion, Tel Aviv has a great selection of bars where you can find quality drinks and food at a discounted price. While people tend to go out a bit later here, the bars also fill up during happy hour. I also only mentioned a few places. However, there are many more deals around Dizengoff, Florentin, and Jaffa. We encourage you to explore and share whatever best happy hour deals you might find.
We look forward to hearing from you, and enjoy! 💃
