Israel's longest running gap year, Habonim Dror’s Workshop focuses on collective education and dialogue meant to develop your Jewish leadership. As a participant in Workshop, you will actively contribute to the building of peace and social justice in Israel through community volunteerism. You will live collectively in kvutzot (small groups) and travel the country while learning about the diverse history of Israel, the Israeli people, and the Hebrew language.
During the first half of the year, you will focus on learning important life skills; you will spend the second half using them in a variety of volunteer placements with Israeli youth. In addition, Workshop offers you the opportunity to visit important historical sites in Poland, witnessing the Holocaust and learning about the role of youth movements in its history.
