  Ahavat Ami  

Ahavat Ami is a new eleven month program  of volunteering for high-school graduates,  under the auspices of Bat-Ami, an organization of National Service for several thousand Orthodox girls in Israel.  The program includes full-time volunteering in educational, and/or social services; classes in Hebrew, professional skills, and Torah studies; as well as touring around the country.  The girls will live together in apartments in Jerusalem with Israeli girls their age, will be given "adopted families" and will be supervised by a staff who understands the particular needs of girls from abroad.   The volunteering will take place in schools, kindergartens, special-education and underprivileged children's programs and more.

 What Does it Include:
The price includes lodging, a monthly stipend for living expenses, tours and classes, health insurance, and traveling expenses within Israel.

 Extras:
Immersion into Israeli society via flat-mates, adopted families and volunteering.  Certification of Israeli National Service.
